If Leeds fail to progress, a number of star players could leave, following the exits of Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter over the summer. Leeds in talks over Max Wober exit in possible Red Bull swap deal
According to the journalist Graeme Bailey, speaking to Leeds United News49ers Enterprises are in regular contact and discussing a possible exit from Leeds for Wober.
RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig have been named as potential suitors, and Bailey adds that players from those clubs could replace Wober in a swap deal, should the Austria international leave, although Los Blancos believe that Wober still has a “big role to play”.
“We are told that Leeds, now part of the Red Bull network, are in regular contact and as part of those discussions there have been talks about Wober and a potential loan move to Salzburg.
“Wober is concerned about his lack of playing time but Leeds generally believe he has a big role to play. However, there are players at Leipzig and Salzburg who are available and could help cover for Wober, while also strengthening Leeds' options.
“We're told conversations are continuing, and even if Wober doesn't leave, we could well see players arriving at Elland Road from elsewhere in the Red Bull network.
It appears Leeds' links with the Red Bull network could lead to connections with Leipzig and Salzburg in the future, even if Wober remains in Yorkshire.
