Dibrugarh: The Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) has arrested a key agent of the banned outfit United Liberation Front of Asom– The Unbiased (ULFA-I) on Monday planted explosive units in Guwahati, the capital of Assam, in the course of the 2024 Independence Day celebrations.
In a coordinated operation with Assam Police, NIA groups searched the residence of Janu Baruah, also referred to as Arnab Axum, early on Monday morning in Dibrugarh, an official mentioned.
