FIFA's desire for expansion means that North America will host not only the largest World Cup in history, but also the largest Club World Cup.
In 2025, 32 teams from around the world will come together in the United States for a summer show. The objective? Well, that would depend on the team. The majority harbor genuine aspirations of claiming world champion status, but some may simply want to avoid player burnout before the start of the 2025/26 season.
Still, the novelty of the expanded tournament offers plenty of excitement.
Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The summer tournament will run for just under a month. June 15, 2025 is scheduled as the starting point in Miami and the final will take place on July 13 in New Jersey.
FIFA confirmed in September 2024 that 12 stadiums in 11 American cities will be used for the 2025 Club World Cup.
Five of the venues below will also be used during the 2026 World Cup. This includes MetLife Stadium, which has been selected to host the World Cup final.

The expanded tournament will follow a familiar format. The 32 teams were divided into eight groups of four, with each team playing each other once during the group stage.
The top two teams from each group will then advance to the Round of 16 and work their way through to the Round of 16 for a chance to reach the final. All knockout matches are played as one game, with overtime and penalties deciding the winner if the two teams cannot be separated after 90 minutes.
The format of the 2025 Club World Cup will be the same as that used for the World Cup between 1998 and 2022.
FIFA initially struggled to identify a broadcaster for the inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup, but a mega-deal was struck with DAZN.
The streaming service has signed a billion-euro deal with FIFA to exclusively broadcast all 63 matches of the tournament.
Each match will be broadcast live for free by DAZN on their platforms and it is expected that they will sub-license to local free-to-air broadcasters for certain matches.
“Thanks to this broadcast agreement, billions of football fans around the world can now watch what will be the most widely accessible club football tournament of all time – and for free,” said FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, on the deal.
Tickets are not yet available for the tournament, but you can register your interest in purchasing tickets via The FIFA website. You will receive the latest information on tickets for the 2025 Club World Cup.
