A PAL Airways aircraft, working beneath Air Canada flight quantity AC2259, made an emergency touchdown at Halifax Airport, Canada, after a touchdown gear malfunction.
The incident, which occurred round 9:30 PM EST, was reported by CBC Information Sunday.

The flight from St. John’s, Newfoundland, skidded alongside the runway at Halifax Airport in Goffs, Nova Scotia, Deccan Chronicles reported.
The touchdown led to a part of the aircraft catching fireplace. An announcement from the airport, reported by CBC Information, confirmed the incident and said that every one passengers have been evacuated and examined by paramedics.
The airport was briefly closed on Saturday night, though the runway reopened shortly after.
In line with one passenger interviewed by CBC Information, one of many aircraft’s tires didn’t deploy correctly throughout touchdown, inflicting the aircraft to tilt and slide a big distance.
She described: “The aircraft shook a bit of and we began to see flames on the left aspect of the aircraft and smoke began popping out of the home windows.”
Emergency crews responded shortly to make sure the security of everybody on board.
