One of WWE's most successful annual shows is undoubtedly the Royal Rumble. And next year's edition is special in more ways than one.
First of all, 2025 will mark the dawn of a new era as the World Wrestling Entertainment product will move to Netflix starting January 6. This means the company is likely to hold its first premium live event with major players. The Men's Royal Rumble is already looking loaded, with Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins, among other major stars, title free, meaning they will most certainly enter the Battle Royal. It looks like the women's side is going to get a boost with the return of Becky Lynch.
According to the latest odds of Bet online, The Man leads the list of potential Women's Royal Rumble winners with odds of +200. Right behind her are Rhea Ripley and another absent WWE Superstar, Charlotte Flair, at +275 each.
Lynch had a brief run with the Women's World Championship before her release from WWE in June. His latest opponent, Liv Morgan, who also holds the belt today, continues to boast about retiring the Irish star. It remains to be seen whether the first-ever winner of the WrestleMania women's main event will return to recapture the title in 2025.
What did Liv Morgan say about Becky Lynch during her absence from WWE?
Liv Morgan dethroned Becky Lynch in May after besting the latter and her then-rival Rhea Ripley throughout WrestleMania season earlier this year. She defeated The Man again that same week in the main event of WWE RAW, which took place in a steel cage, with help from Dominik Mysterio.
In an interview with Billboard, Morgan claimed she had retired the 37-year-old wrestler, backing up her statement by pointing out that Lynch hadn't been seen on television since:
“I did it! Didn't I?! Have you seen Becky Lynch since I made her lose the title and gave her a rematch the next night and made her lose to again? Have you seen her since?”
Anyway, Becky Lynch later replied to these assertions during an interview at the Vulture Festival. She revealed that nothing had been forgotten and that sooner or later she would return.
