However, Maresca hailed Sunday's opponents as a “fantastic” team and suggested they would not be easy customers.

“They have very good players with a very good manager” said Maresca on Tottenham.

“It's very clear what they want to do with and without the ball. What kind of problems they have, I don't know. You'd have to be there to understand the problems. But they're a fantastic team. Two weeks ago , they beat City 4-0, so they’re a very good team.”

Off the field, Todd Boehly and BlueCo are reportedly looking for a new number 9, regardless of Nicolas Jackson's excellent start to the campaign, Chelsea's overall goalscoring form and their abundance of attacking quality.

Described as a potential “world star” by Jamie Redknapp, Isak also drew comparisons to Thierry Henryand we expect the competition for his signature to be fierce – either in January or next summer.
