Personal finance expert Dave Ramsey joins “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” to weigh in on President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet picks and the pushback some of his nominees are facing.
As President-elect Donald Trump Facing growing resistance to some of his Cabinet nominees, financial expert and founder of Ramsey Solutions Dave Ramsey has a clear message: Strong leadership means decisive action.
“There will be a time when you have to fish or cut bait,” Ramsey said of Cabinet nominees during a Wednesday appearance on “Cavuto: From coast to coast. »
“A leader who doesn't stand with his team and have their back the first time something gets difficult sends a signal to the rest of the team that they won't do it. [to] stay there.”
Ramsey's advice comes as several candidates, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, attorney general nominee Pam Bondi and Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent, work to secure Senate support in the middle of careful examination.
Ramsey stressed the importance of maintaining a united front:

“If I was in this situation, I would [to] I will support that until I make the decision not to do it,” he added. “I will not [to] waffle in the public eye. I will [to] do all this directly with the leader and decide if we will [to] move forward or not together.”
The challenges are already evident. Two candidates – former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz, initially selected for attorney general, and Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronicerconsidered for the Drug Enforcement Administration – withdrew. Even so, Ramsey suggests that Trump's choices aren't just about passing Senate scrutiny.
“I don’t think he chose them for Senate confirmation,” Ramsey said. “He chose them because their values match where he wants to go.”

According to Ramsey, loyalty is the cornerstone of Trump's selection process for this second cabinet.
“He's looking for people who, if they don't agree with him, [to] disagree, they will [to] have a good healthy disagreement. But not someone who will [to] cut his throat from behind.”
Ramsey asked the president-elect three crucial questions as he evaluates his candidates:
“Are our values aligned? Is there alignment on loyalty? Are they smart enough, competent enough to do the job that's asked of them?”
“Kudlow” panelists Monica Crowley, Deroy Murdock and Joe Borelli react to threats against the new administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
These questions, Ramsey says, should guide Trump's decision-making as he navigates the world. political and media pressure surrounding his Cabinet choices.
Ramsey urged Trump to avoid letting outside noise influence his decision.
“You can't let the masses dictate your leadership. Because if you do, you will quickly realize that the 'm' is silent,” he said.
With a 53-seat Republican majority in the Senate, Team Trump can only afford to lose four votes per candidate. The stakes are high and confirmation battles loom, but Ramsey's advice underscores the need for clarity and determination.
