When Oscar Valdez and Emanuel Navarrete step through the ropes, they both deliver the same thing: action every time they box.
Now they have a score to settle in their rematch, live Sky Sports main event Or Sky Sports+ from 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
“In the game there is this personal pride and I know that, and I think it adds a little more interest to the fight,” Navarrete said. Aerial sports.
“Pride weighs a lot, especially in a Mexico vs. Mexico battle. Losing to another Mexican would be more important than losing to anyone else.
“As this is the second time we are fighting, we have more experience with each other and so I think that will lead to more exchanges.”

Navarrete defeated Valdez by unanimous decision in their 2023 fight.
But now he says: “I want to eliminate him… because I want the victory to be clear to show that I can definitely beat someone like Oscar Valdez.
“I'm going for the KO. On the other hand, he will be better able to neutralize my attacks because he knows how hard I hit and how I'm going to attack.”
Valdez recorded a vital comeback stoppage victory over Liam Wilson and now has that chance to become world champion again against WBO super featherweight contender Navarrete.

“We've been with him, we know what he has, he's a tough fighter,” Valdez said. Aerial sports. “But nothing in life is impossible, especially in boxing, especially when you are a fighter like me, who has always dedicated your body and your mind to everything that happens in this gym.
“We always had a chance and I never want to regret not trying. Not trying to go for that gold medal, to achieve that dream that I always wanted.”
The first fight with Navarrete was a brutal battle. Valdez expects the same thing again.

Emanuel Navarrete retained his WBO super featherweight world title after judges declared a majority draw against Robson Conceicao.
“You’re facing another warrior,” Valdez said. “We’re going to fight like we hate each other.
“We are going to fight and see who has the biggest heart. I truly believe that this will [win] this fight – who wants it the most, who loves this sport the most.
“This is the fight of my life and I take it very seriously.”
