The Nigerian Safety and Civil Protection Corps, Ogun State Command, on Friday, stated its operatives have arrested a 27-year-old automotive technician, Abiodun Ajao, on costs of stealing and dismantling a buyer’s automobile bearing Lagos quantity plate BDG 956-FJ.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun NSCDC Command, Dike Ogbonnaya, disclosed this in an announcement on Friday.
“The suspect who intentionally drove the stated automobile from Lagos to Iduna, Ijebu-Imosin, Ogun State, had already begun dismembering the automobile to promote to prepared patrons earlier than he was arrested,” Ogbonnaya stated.
He defined that when interrogated by officers of NSCDC, Ijebu East Central Esure Division, Ijebu Imosin, Ajao stated: “The engine of the automobile is dangerous and I’m simply looking for some patrons for the elements for the reason that engine was broken and unusable.”
After an intensive and additional examination, Ogbonnaya stated the suspect revealed that the automobile was dropped at him for restore and that he was testing it to see the suitability of the work carried out on it earlier than handing it over to the customer.
