Liverpool are said to be strongly positioned in the race to transfer Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané before next summer.
The Germany international could be the ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah for Liverpool as he is a skilled left-footer who tends to start from the right flank.
On top of that, if Salah ends up leaving Liverpool at the end of his contract, Sané would be another free agent, so finding a successor to their Egyptian star striker shouldn't cost them a fortune.
Liverpool will line up MOVE for the French prodigy!
Liverpool's interest in Sane is reported by Transferswho states that the Reds are currently looking for the team best placed to sign the 28-year-old this summer.
Nonetheless, it is also suggested that Sané will also be offered a new contract to stay at the Allianz Arena. there is surely no guarantee that this agreement will succeed.
Is Leroy Sané good enough to replace a Liverpool legend?
While Sane is undoubtedly a top player, he has just four goals and no assists so far this season, which is a far cry from the frankly ridiculous numbers we see from Salah.
The 32-year-old remains absolutely lethal in front of goal, as well as an elite creator for LFC, with a superb tally of 15 goals and 12 assists in 21 games in all competitions so far this season.
In all honesty, there is hardly anyone in world football who compares to Salah when he is at his best, so Liverpool should probably put all their efforts into ensuring he signs a new contract.
However, things are not looking very good on that front.so it also makes sense to monitor potential replacements, and Sane is a logical low-cost option.
The former Manchester City man has also proven himself in the Premier League, so he could well revive his career with a return to English football.
