Didn't do much wrong in Perth – Mitchell Starc
During the innings break, Mitchell Starc admitted the opposition had simply played better in Perth. He said the pitch had to provide some help, but the team adapted well after the first hour of bowling.
“Yeah, I don't know, I can't say much. The ball was coming out well in that game. I didn't do much wrong in Perth. They just played better. The ball was moving. The pitch is a good one “We just wanted a little momentum. We succeeded until the end. Nothing changes from one match to the next. It’s just the process of moving away from the past and doing good,” Starc said.
“As a bowling unit, we have to be patient. There are tough times. You have to get through it. Sometimes he doesn't move and doesn't do much. Sometimes he does too much in one no time. We made the best of the conditions.”
“It certainly didn't help the engine; it got a little cramped at the end. It goes through some weird areas, doesn't do much, then keeps going. The first day you expect 'a little weed goes a long way.' “Maybe with the forecasts we have, it dries up a little later, but apart from the first hour where we were a little sidelined, we were good,” he concluded.
