Guwahati: The Nationwide Inexperienced Tribunal (NGT) rejected the petition filed by residents Baghjan A village in Assam’s Tinsukia district is demanding extra interim compensation for harm brought on by the 2020 oil explosion in OIL INDIA LIMITEDEffectively (oil).
The petition, filed by Manoj Hazarika on behalf of the villagers, petitioned the NGT to direct the oil firm to disburse a further quantity of Rs. 10,000 per household for these categorized as severely or reasonably affected by the explosion.

The NGT accepted these suggestions and directed the oil firm to disburse interim compensation on the idea of classification.
The petition filed by Hazarika challenges the classification and seeks extra compensation for some households categorized within the second and third classes.
The petitioner argued that the severity of the influence on their well being and livelihood justified a better compensation quantity.
