THE HAGUE (Reuters) – One person died, three were injured and an unknown number of people are missing after a building in The Hague collapsed on Saturday following explosions and a fire, a statement said the mayor of the Dutch city.
Jan van Zanen told a press conference that the missing would be buried under the rubble.
“The chances of living people being found are very low,” he said.
The cause of the disaster, which occurred shortly after 6 a.m. local time (0500 GMT), was not known. Van Zanen said there was a small explosion, followed by a larger explosion.
Police have called on people who saw a car speeding away from the scene, or those who have video of it, to contact them.

Prime Minister Dick Schoof said in a statement that he was shocked by the news and had offered help to local authorities.
