Barcelona failed to hold on to a win on Saturday and were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Real Betis.
The Catalans led for most of the clash but could not maintain their 2-1 scoreline in the end, conceding the equalizer in the 94th minute. A superb strike from Robert Lewandowski saw Barca grab a lifeline in the first half, but the visitors did not have the luxury of relaxing, with Betis constantly on the attack for the remainder of the encounter and equalizing through a penalty from Giovani Lo Celso.
Ferran Torres fired the visitors ahead in the 82nd minute, but before Barca could celebrate what seemed like an obvious victory, Assane Diao got one back in the final moments.
Hansi Flick's team are now just five points ahead of the reigning champions Real Madrid before their meeting with Girona on Saturday evening.
