The way things used to be is no longer the way things are Robert Redfordwho put his San Francisco Bay oasis on the market for $4.15 million.
Redford, 88, spends more time at his New Mexico residence that he shares with his wife, environmental artist Sibylle Szaggars, finding the timing opportune to list the property in Tiburon, Calif., located just nine miles away of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
“Unfortunately, we can't spend as much time in Tiburon as we would like, as we now spend more time in Santa Fe, New Mexicowhere Sibylle creates new art there and focuses on her art gallery, Sibylle Szaggars Redford Fine Art,” Redford said.

“And we both devote a lot of time to the nonprofit The Way of the Rain, also based in Santa Fe, which produces educational and artistic performances to protect the environment and promote global conservation efforts” , the statement said. “As we were” explained the star.
Built on the water, the property measures nearly 3,000 square feet and has 10 rooms. The interior and exterior have been recently renovated, including several outdoor living spaces.
“We've made some aesthetic changes to the interior to brighten things up and create more of a coastal feel inside. And we love spending time outside, so we've upgraded the outdoor terraces and gardens, creating a more inviting flow between the interior and exterior spaces of the home,” Redford said.
“We love Mediterranean gardens and Tiburon's climate is perfect for plants like lavender, jasmine and succulents, all aquatic plants that now grace the outdoor spaces around the house.”
Inside, the stunning chef's kitchen captivates the eye, featuring a breakfast nook, walk-in pantry, and top-notch appliances.
The house has plenty of light sources, including in the “Great Room,” which features high ceilings and skylights.
“We were immediately struck by the warmth of the home with its light-filled rooms, as well as the views of Keil Cove, San Francisco Bay, and Angel Island. The home offers beautiful, distinct views from every room,” Redford said of the moment he first saw the residence. “We were also attracted to the privacy the house offers, as it is on a quiet, unpaved cul-de-sac that doesn't see a lot of traffic.”
The house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Additional features include a two-car garage and over 1,000 square feet of outdoor patios.

Redford said he and his wife also really liked the area in which the house is located.
“We have a long history and affection for the town of Tiburon, having previously owned other homes in the area. We have always loved the fact that most places are within walking distance, not only to the shops and restaurants, but also to the nearby open space hiking trails,” he said.

“The city promenade, which offers a magnificent view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, is one of our favorite places: it has a friendly atmosphere, and we enjoy walking the path and exchanging greetings with other walkers, whether people or dogs! And the downtown ferry is convenient to various Bay Area destinations. »
