A “dozen Musk allies” have taken a break from their daily routine to serve as unofficial advisers in Trump's transition effort. says the New York Times.
Among them, the media reports: Jared Birchall, the head of Elon Musk's family office, interviewed a few candidates for positions at the State Department; Marc Andreessen spoke with candidates for leadership positions at the State Department, the Pentagon, and the Department of Health and Human Services; Sequoia Capital's Shaun Maguire reflects on the intelligence community's choices; Anduril co-founder Trae Stephens and Palantir CTO Shyam Sankar both spoke to Trump transition officials about their roles at the Pentagon; and entrepreneurs Mark Pincus and David Marcus participated in interviews with “potential Trump personnel.”
According to the Times, even Musk's mother, Maye, has been involved in the transition, recently telling an interviewer that she “loves going to meetings” with her son.
