Teddy Mellencamp relies on Kyle Richards follow her separation of her husband Edwin Arroyave.
THE The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, revealed that she lived part-time with Richards, 55, in his Beverly Hills home while she and Arroyave, 47, split time in their marital home with their children.
“They know we are separated, have filed for divorce. I’m nesting,” Mellencamp said during the first episode of his new podcast, “Diamonds in the rough” co-hosted by RHOBAIt is Erika Jayneon Thursday, December 5.
“In some places you can just file for divorce… in California there is a six-month cooling-off period,” Mellencamp continued. “During these six months, you can do a multitude of things. Jayne, 53, then asked Mellencamp how she and Arroyave shared custody of their three children: daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.
“I can’t explain our exact timing. But Edwin and I leave when the other one is asleep,” Mellencamp explained. “We can both be there for sporting events…we’re completely happy to be together.”
Mellencamp went on to reveal that when she's not home, “I live at Kyle's house.”
“I saw you filmed in the glamor room…this is my room now, slut!” Mellencamp joked with Jayne, describing the upstairs room she's staying in. “It’s so comfortable.”
Mellencamp added: “Luckily Kyle let me do that. That's how you know there are real friendships to be made [on reality TV]. I was like, “Am I going to find a place to live? I just went over it, it's close, easy. She cooks. Sometimes. We're just getting started. We are newly launched there.
“It works well for the kids: we're right around the corner and everything is on a calendar. They know exactly when I come in and out and vice versa,” she continued.
Mellencamp announced his separation from Arroyave on November 2.
“After much care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp wrote via Instagram. “My priority is my children and I am ensuring that every consideration is given to their privacy and well-being throughout this new chapter.”
She added: “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from unwarranted speculation and rumors, I felt that being open, honest and vulnerable was best. way forward. »
