Suri Cruise's trust fund was part of her parents' divorce settlement
According to reports, Suri is now much wealthier than she once was after recently gaining access to a trust fund set aside for her.
The trust fund was “provided” by her estranged father as part of the “divorce agreement” he made with Suri's mother, Holmes, when they separated in 2012.
While it's unclear exactly how much is in the trust fund, the total amount is said to be quite “substantial,” which isn't surprising, considering Cruise is reportedly worth more than $600 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
“She was allowed access when she turned 18 in April,” a source told Daily Mail on the teenager's new wealth.

Suri's mother, Katie Holmes, created a separate trust fund for her
In addition to Cruise's money, Suri will have access to more wealth, since her mother has set up a separate trust fund.
“Katie is financially minded and of course takes care of her daughter,” another source said of the actress, who is reportedly worth $25 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.
The source explained why Holmes chose to open a separate trust fund for Suri when the teen already had one in her name.
“She wants her to be well looked after and have a good quality of life,” the source explained about this decision.
Much like Cruise's trust fund, it's unclear exactly how much Holmes' package is worth to Suri, and there are no details on whether the teen can access it at this point.

How Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' Divorce Affected Their Daughter
A year before Suri's birth in 2006, Cruise proclaimed his love for Holmes by jumping on Oprah Winfrey's couch during her talk show “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 2005.
A few months later, the couple married in a lavish ceremony, gracing the pages of Good morning! review as Hollywood's newest power couple.
