Australian national cricket team batter Travis Head has once again come to haunt the Indian national cricket team. The Southpaw put the Rohit Sharma-led side under immense pressure in the ongoing second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Travis Head set the stage on fire in the ongoing second Test against the Indian national cricket team. The left-hander entertained the crowd at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, which hosts the pink ball test between the teams, which began on Friday (December 6).
Travis Head, who left the batting after Steve Smith's dismissal, put pressure on the bowlers of the Indian national cricket team as soon as he took the field. He was at his aggressive best and completely took the game out of India's hands.
Travis Head sent almost every Indian bowler out of the park
Head sent almost every Indian bowler out of the park and ensured that the Australian national cricket team secured a lead of over 90 runs. The Southpaw hardly made any mistakes and maintained his form with the bat in the longest format of the match.
Head had a brilliant century and put the Indian national cricket team under pressure. He reached the landmark in Ravichandran Ashwin when he delivered the ball to mid-wicket and took a quick single to score his ton in 111 balls.
What caught the attention of many was his celebration after reaching his century. As he finished his ton, he immediately shook the baby's celebration with his bat and waved to his wife and young baby who were watching from the ground. He didn't stop there, and he then retired his trademark celebration.
Head then placed the handle of his bat on the helmet and lifted the helmet. The crowd at the Adelaide Oval went berserk as they all stood and applauded the hometown boy for his special innings with the bat.
