(Reuters) – UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:) CEO Andrew Witty wrote in a New York Instances (NYSE:) opinion piece printed Friday that the well being care system was flawed and a “patchwork constructed over many years.”
Within the New York Instances article, Witty lamented the killing of Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealth’s medical insurance unit, final week. The killing sparked an outpouring of anger from Individuals struggling to obtain and pay for medical care.
