WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Joe Biden stated on Wednesday he had requested the U.S. Protection Division to proceed arms deliveries to Ukraine after condemning Russia’s Christmas Day assault on some Ukrainian cities and its vitality system.
“The objective of this outrageous assault was to chop off the Ukrainian folks’s entry to warmth and electrical energy through the winter and jeopardize the safety of their grid,” Biden stated in an announcement. Republican President-elect Donald Trump will change Democrat Biden on January 20.
Russia attacked Ukraine’s vitality system and a few cities with cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones on Wednesday, Ukraine stated. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Washington has dedicated $175 billion in support to Ukraine.
